Nanjing Turbine & Electric Machinery (Group) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter NTC, former name was Nanjing Turbine & Electric Machinery Works, which was founded in 1956, and was changed to be a full state-owned company in July of 1995) after completing the ownership reformation in Sep. of 2004, now is a joint venture enterprise of Nanjing and HongKong. It covers 425,000 square meters area and owns 2115 staff. There are over 1600 sets of production equipment, in which, more than 190 are precision and large size machining tools. The main products are heavy-duty gas turbine generating unit, steam turbine generating unit, gas-steam combined cycle unit, co-gen. steam turbine unit and generator as well as large & medium sized synchronized / asynchronized motors, which forms annual production output integration of 10000MW.

         Since 1980’s, NTC has built-up the MA relationship with GE. USA, for the co- production of Fr.6B gas turbine. Meanwhile, the PG6561B-L gas turbine unit with Low Btu fuel of coal gas is developed and put into operation in some steel & iron plants such as Tonghua Steel Group Co. and jinan Steel co. These units are all met the performance specifications of mechanical, reliability and environment protection, and as the first in domestic, it has contributed greatly for China’s Steel & iron industry to realize clean production and circulating economic operation. Also, there are S106B gas-steam combined cycle generating unit in Tianjin Binhai Power Co. and S206B gas-steam combined cycle generating unit in Sudan jili power Plant. In June of 2004, a new technology transfer agreement of large level power gas turbine Fr.9E (125MW) manufacture was signed by NTC and GE, and then, both parties formed a combo for the bidding of state gas turbine projects. It has got successes. Since then NTC starts the 9E nits production and independent sell, so that to stand in the range of state key power generation makers and the base of 9E gas turbine manufacture in China. It establishes an important status of 3+1 for NTC in heavy-duty gas turbine production in China.

         The steam turbine units ranged from 6-220 MW , with more than 100 types of condensing, extracting , back pressure, extracting & back pressure ,have been designed with full 4D stream technology , mainly to be used for co-gen and combined cycle power plants , and also industry driven , power generating by civil wastes as well as cement stove heat recovery. These steam parameters have been developed from MP & HP simple cycle to super high reheat cycle. It cans satisy requirements of different heat load. For the power construction demand in north and west zones of China, where are water shortage , NTC has developed 50 MW and 150 MW air cooling steam turbine , 8-35MW low temperature and LP units are suitable for cement stove heat recovery power generation.

         Generators ranged from 6-150MW are designed with the air-cooling brushless excitation technology introduced from BRUSH Co. of UK , and domestic advanced VPI processing. Among these products, QFW model generator is matched with steam turbine, and QFR is with gas turbine and TRT blast pressure recovery turbine units.

         Besides, NTC has provided various large and mid-sized AC motors equipped with advance VPI processing. The unit power output range is from 130-5000KW, voltages are 380,6000 and 10000V . Working with compressor, pump and fan as well as cement machines, these motors are widely used in mines, steel & iron mills, petroleum & chemical plants, cement plants and water conservancy projects.

         Now, the products of NTC are distributing in 30 provinces and cities, some have been exported abroad such Burma, Indonesia, Iraq, Sudan, India, and Algeria etc.

         The company has got the authentication of ISO 9000-2000 for its QC system, The Fr6B gas turbine generating set and 12MW steam turbine generating set as well as 25 MW steam turbine unit have awarded the super quality products in state and machinery industry.
